Zero Tolerance

Our doctors, nurses, ancillary medical staff and clerical staff work tirelessly to provide a first class, courteous service to all patients. By virtue of that fact, we are not prepared to accept aggressive, abusive or violent behaviour from any patient under any circumstances and rigorously uphold a zero tolerance policy.

All abuse will be reported to the Operations Manager/Admin Team Leader and all physical abuse towards any of our staff by our patients is reported immediately to the police. The patient will be removed immediately from our list.

Any incident of verbal abuse whether in person or on the telephone is reported immediately to the Operations Manager/Admin Team Leader and recorded in the log book kept in the reception area. If appropriate, the Operations Manager/Admin Team Leader will discuss the incident with one of the GPs and a formal letter will be sent to the patient. A copy will be kept with the medical records.

If the patient's name appears three times in the log book, a final letter will be written informing him/her of their immediate removal from the practice list.

Freedom Of Information

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a Publication Scheme. This is a guide to the ‘classes’ of information the practice intends to make available routinely. Please contact the Operations Manager.
